Reflections
This is what I learned about in sections 6.2 and 6.3 of our Biology book. What I have found difficult about what I have studied is phospholipid molecules and osmosis. Biological systems regulate because they transport substances across the boundary which makes certain substances be able to pass so membranes can maintain a certain chemical environment.

Are you asking about the phospholipid bilayer? Because the phospholipid bilayer describes two layers of molecules outside of a cell in order to better protect a cell. The molecules have hydrophobic tails which conveniently point in towards eachother so they do not have to touch their often liquid friends near them.
ReplyDeleteOsmosis describes water basically passing over a cell. Some water will casually pass into the cell (passive transport) while others will not be allowed in because maybe there's a lack of space or the cell doesn't want it because its dirty. Osmosis simply describes the casual rejection or allowed passing of molecules into a cell.
